What you’ll be doing:

NOVOS is on the hunt for a new Head of Marketing that’s going to play a key role within the employee-owned eCommerce agency and be responsible for delivering tangible growth, industry-leading marketing initiatives and team development to take the agency’s growth to another level.

 

Overall job purpose

With it being such an important role, you will report directly to the founders and will be responsible for delivering commercial growth for the agency by driving marketing qualified leads through to the sales team. You will be responsible for strategising and executing your winning marketing plan by working with the relevant teams as well as leading the progression & development of your own team..

NOVOS has ambitious plans to establish themselves as the world-leading eCommerce SEO agency and this role will help to achieve the recognition for this.

 

Your Accountabilities

  • Marketing Strategy: You will have the skills to devise an industry-leading marketing strategy in-line with the goals of the agency. You will be responsible for the overall direction of the marketing strategy and will be responsible for the actions that follow it.
  • Execution: You will not shy away from getting hands-on – you will be responsible for owning the implementation of the marketing strategy working with the relevant teams and individuals needed to achieve the goal of growing inbound enquiries across a variety of channels including events, email marketing, social media, content, paid media and more. 
  • Reporting: You will be responsible for developing a reporting system back to the directors that highlights the key metrics the agency should be focusing on. You will be confident in reporting and presenting back to stakeholders.
  • Line Management: You will be responsible for leading, mentoring and supporting your team as it grows. Day to day, you will be providing support on executing the strategy across a variety of marketing initiatives and more long term, you will look to support your reports on their ambitions to develop in their role and progress in the agency. 
  • Build processes:  Build the blueprint for how our agency tackles marketing and can continuously build a sustainable pipeline of qualified leads, document these processes ready to expand and build the commercial team around you. 

Skills & experience preferred

 

    • 3-5 years minimum experience agency-side and/or working in B2B marketing
    • Good understanding of SEO & its impact on wider marketing
    • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to motivate other areas of the company to support with marketing projects 
    • Strong project management experience of juggling multiple workflows
    • Strong ability to build and generate a network for yourself and the agency
    • Excellent communication skills, research & analytical skills
    • Experience working with eCommerce/retail brands and knowing the way they think
    • Experience building a reporting model for marketing metrics
    • Good understanding of B2B marketing and lead generation strategies and tactics
    • Be proactive: don’t wait to be told what to do, tell us what you need to do
    • An understanding of the commercial side of an agency, with a keen understanding of how critical resourcing is to an efficient team
