Partnering with Antler

Antler is a premium luggage brand, offering a wide range of travel bags for different airlines. They partnered with us having seen our successful site migrations, and wanting to improve their SEO efforts to drive results throughout the year, particularly during the Black Friday period. 

The Challenge

Antler sought our help to successfully migrate their website to Shopify whilst maintaining existing SEO value and ensuring the website could continue to grow organically post-migration. 

With that in mind, our aim was to:

  1. Prioritise SEO in the development list
  2. Nuance the Shopify issue of www. being removed on the site
  3. Position Antler in the correct demographic on Google

Our Strategy

From an SEO perspective, we prioritised zero-search volume keywords that we knew could drive traffic (and did), and correctly matched intent for airline-specific collections. To improve the menu structure and identify further content gaps on the site, we also conducted an internal search audit using Klevu. As part of these efforts, we then reviewed the existing internal linking techniques on the site and provided a more effective internal linking strategy to leverage new opportunities, as well as the technical set up of the site. This involved providing a list of recommendations, prioritised via the ICE metric. 

As part of the PR strategy, we liaised with Antler’s in-house team regarding content production and what pages to link to from their press releases to drive authority and conversions. 

Results

Our integrated campaign enabled Antler to hit the ground running and experience some early wins including:

  • 249% increase in organic revenue YoY from April 2022, to November 2022 compared to the previous year.
  • 144% rise in organic sessions during the same period.
  • Achieved a 153% rise in organic revenue in November compared to the previous year (+115%). 
  • 7% increase in traffic post-migration compared to the previous period.

Visibility has also remained stable since the migration, despite the consolidation of high performing products during the migration for business reasons.

The brand also experienced a significant reduction in the number of indexed pages in Search Console, correlating with an increase in the number of recognised redirects due to historical pages redirected. This has ensured the site is lean, core pages are prioritised and the site is in a great position to grow.
