As we close out 2024, we’re reflecting on a year packed with impactful backlink wins that have pushed SEO boundaries and helped boost organic revenue for our clients. Here's how we made it happen!
Our Year in Backlinks
In 2024, we built 2,062 backlinks and secured 2,490 pieces of coverage across 761 publications, reaching a staggering total audience of 30.98 billion. On average, each publication reached 15.91 million people, showing the value of securing not just links for SEO purposes, but for brand awareness too. Securing links in quality, high-traffic outlets where your audience is actually engaged makes all the difference!
One of the year’s standout platforms was MSN, where we landed 103 backlinks, and notably, one in three of those directed traffic to key product or category pages (PDP/PLP). These deep links have proven to be a game-changer for SEO, delivering tangible results that outshine generic homepage mentions.
Our Favourite Publications We Landed?
We landed coverage in Time Out, Refinery29, Marie Claire, Forbes, and The Telegraph a combined 37 times this year. Impressively, 25 of these were PDP/PLP links—delivering greater SEO impact than homepage links. Not every journalist or publication will provide deep links, but we know how to find the ones who will and secure coverage that delivers results.
We Dominated in the National Press This Year
The national press was another area where we truly excelled. From The Daily Express and The Mirror to The Independent and The Evening Standard, our clients were featured across the UK’s most prominent publications. Among these, we achieved 152 placements, with 62 leading directly to PDP/PLP pages—a success rate of 41%.
Lifestyle, Wellness & Interior Clients Thrived in These Publications
Our lifestyle clients had an incredible year, landing links in iconic titles like GQ and Cosmopolitan. Meanwhile, our interior and homeware brands achieved consistent wins with 94 placements across standout publications, including Ideal Home, Homes & Gardens, Woman & Home, T3, and The English Home. Of these interior sites, 36 strategically directed traffic to PDP/PLP pages, driving both visibility and impact.
This success stemmed from spotting a growing demand for expert commentary. Journalists kept coming back for insights that elevated their stories and strengthened our clients’ backlink profiles while doing so.
Special mention goes to those publications that every eCommerce brand dreams of being featured in—whether it’s business-focused outlets like Retail Gazette and Reuters or product highlights in T3, Tom’s Guide, and Indy Best. These placements strike the perfect balance—getting links where your shoppers are actively looking while receiving the SEO benefits.
As we step into 2025, our goal at NOVOS remains the same: build links that don’t just tick boxes but provide the SEO value your website needs whilst reaching your customers in the right publications.
We handle the SEO side by securing deep links on high-authority domains and building lasting relationships with journalists who return to us time and time again for Digital PR content from our trusted brands. Why? Because our brands align perfectly with their publications.
