The Challenge

Beyond Retro experienced a YoY decline for SEO due to a poor migration from Magento to Shopify. We faced the challenge of turning around performance for their no. 1 marketing channel.

With that in mind, our aim was to:

  1. Re-establish visibility for key vintage terms
  2. Maintain consistent non-brand growth 
  3. Improve direct ROI 

Our Strategy

Our approach focused on onsite cleanup, content marketing improvements and leveraging Beyond Retro’s brand popularity in their niche. Some of the deliverables we carried out included:

  • IA improvement by creating over 100 new categories that were lost as part of the migration
  • Niche optimisation towards vintage and retro
  • Buyer guide and brand page creation 
  • Stock management process for PDPs that were only in stock for a few weeks

Results

As a result of our strategy, Beyond Retro experienced the following results:

  • 160% rise in SEO revenue
  • 38% uplift in MoM sessions
  • Domination for vintage terms
  • 60-70% growth in non-brand SEO since July 2018
  • 416% direct ROI
