The Client
Ruggable creates and sells two-piece rugs designed for easy cleaning. Each rug features a washable fabric rug cover and non-slip rug pad, which is practical and stylish for everyday use inside and outside of the home.
The Challenge
Ruggable approached us wanting to dominate the niche Pure Play rug market in the UK. However, they had very little existing visibility. With that in mind, we needed to lean on an aggressive approach offering technical, content and consistent always on relevant link building.
Strategy Highlights
- Helped migrate from standard Shopify to Advanced Shopify headless set up improving reading of Javascript and internal linking hierarchy
- We focused on what made Ruggable stand out vs. the pure play competition
- Carried out stronger onsite targeting for broader key terms via the blog
- Build our colour related terms and new landing pages
- Conduced technical fixes and structural internal linking across Ruggable’s advanced headless platform
- Continued to position the brand in relevant trends with media
- We built a strategy that centered around the main opportunity areas of the site and built high quality links to those key target category pages
- Leveraged journalist request to earn PLP coverage e.g. an Ideal Home request for fire pit seating ideas
- We leveraged data and expert commentary to place Ruggable at the heart of key trending topics
- We were able to balance brand led goals with our link building efforts that not only enabled us to deliver lasting organic performance improvements, but also supported wider brand activations
- We targeted key tier one publications to ensure we delivered high authority placements, that also ticked the relevancy box, offering the perfect balance for Google
