NOVOS Applauded for its Positive Company Culture

NOVOS, the London-based start-up digital agency, has been selected as one of the 2021 Campaign’s Best Places to Work, a nationwide listing of best workplaces.

It has also coincided with its ‘Great Place to Work’ certification where it was successful in gaining a trust score of 97% — higher than the industry benchmark — and a silver at the Company Culture Awards. “When we had grown the business enough to make our first full-time hire, we made establishing a healthy company culture that helps people thrive our top priority — our agency’s mission is to be a vehicle for the professional and personal growth of the team and commercial growth of clients. And now, two years, 25 employees and £1million agency revenue later, it is great to see the agency achieving its mission so well,” says Samuel Hurley, co-founder of NOVOS.

It is believed that a variety of employee benefit initiatives have been a key reason behind the agency’s success.

“At NOVOS, we have a 360-degree approach to employee benefits with a strong focus on mental wellbeing. We’ve thought long and hard about the benefits that mean the most to our people, ever-growing our offering from routine internal and external training, job advancement programs, regular performance reviews, bonuses, to mentoring, which all aid professional development.

“Our cultural initiatives include unlimited holidays, self-care days, yoga/meditation sessions, discount schemes, personal training sessions and flexible working hours, ensuring staff’s personal development and happiness. We take our company values very seriously,” remarks NOVOS’s Head of Operations and Culture, Olivia Royce.

The list of the Best Places to Work was created by Campaign and Best Companies Group. This survey and award programme was designed to identify, recognise and honour the best places of employment in the marketing, advertising and media profession.

Organisations from across the UK entered the two-part survey process to determine the Campaign’s Best Places to Work. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top organisations and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.
