Head of Sales and Marketing

Job purpose

We are looking for a superb, sales driven marketing professional to join our ever growing team of experts to help us achieve our mission of growing the agency & building out the sales and marketing teams around your strategy.

You would be joining an employee owned, fast-growing agency specialising in eCommerce SEO working with ambitious brands aiming to disrupt their respective industries. We have a data-led approach to all of our work, from PR campaigns to SEO strategy. We have won multiple awards for work and culture aspects over the last few years including being nominated as the 5th Best Places to Work company as well as 4th for Best Tech company to work for in the Best Places to Work awards.




Your Accountabilities

30% strategy, 70% implementation. You will have the skills to provide a sales and marketing strategy, but you will not shy away from getting hands-on (this will evolve to a more strategic split as the team is built out over time)

Sales Duties

  • Outreach to potential prospects via linkedin (and/or other platforms) for lead generation, and gather attendees for future events.
  • Take ownership of the CRM management system
  • Develop strategies and tactics for nurturing leads through the marketing funnel into paying clients.
  • Pulling together pitch decks with support from founders
  • Pre-screening questions and scoping out potential client needs

Marketing Duties

  • Developing & Managing marketing campaigns to assist in the growth of the agency and brand
  • Own the implementation of email marketing, paid advertising, remarketing, content production schedule, and organic social media advertising such as LinkedIn
  • Work closely with internal Social team to create relevant content for social media to raise brand awareness and target our ideal audience
  • Work closely with the founders to create thought leadership strategies for platforms such as our blog and social media
  • Work with partner agencies to further develop relationships
  • Marketing: Compile and submit entries for marketing and business awards
  • Work closely with our Operations team to organise, create and promote events for partners and potential clients
  • Coordinating & promoting our own internal marketing and the organisation’s culture
  • Monitoring performance & reporting this to the senior teams

Skills & Experience

  • 4 + years minimum experience agency-side and/or working in B2B marketing
  • Good understanding of digital marketing & its impact on wider marketing
  • Strong project management experience of juggling multiple workflows
  • Strong ability to build and generate network for yourself and the agency
  • Excellent communication skills, research & analytical skills
  • Good understanding of B2B marketing and lead generation strategies and tactics
